The Lincoln College Group Visited Our College

    On the afternoon of June 28th , Gary Headland, CEO of Lincoln College Group of UK, James Foster, Head of International and Business, and Dean of Applied Engineering Scott Upton, visited our college. Ren Zhong, deputy dean of the college attended the meeting. Leading members of other departments attended and hosted the meeting, including the Training and Accreditation Center, the Enrolment and Employment Guidance Department, and the Department of Economic and Trade Management.

    At the meeting, Ren Zhong, on behalf of the college, expressed his warm welcome to the delegation and thanked the support from the Lincoln College that efficiently promoted the e-commerce cooperation project between the two sides. Currently, the project has been approved by the Sichuan Provincial Education Department and processed to the Ministry of Education of China for accreditation. He said our two colleges have similar professional settings and background as well as a good cooperative foundation, therefore, cooperation in other professional fields such as aero engine maintenance could hopefully be the next step. Gary Headland expressed his gratitude to our hospitality and he looked forward to in-depth cooperation by integrating communication and teaching. The two sides discussed further details on issues like the enrollment publicity, teaching designs, training and demonstration of teaching.

    Background: In September 2017, our college signed an agreement with the Lincoln College Group of the United Kingdom to jointly organize an e-commerce professional education program, which aims at introducing excellent teaching resources and training outstanding talents for regional economic development. At present, the project has been approved by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education and handed in to the Ministry of Education.
